Living at Hideaway Lake
A gated lake and golf community near Lindale
Hideaway is unlike anywhere else around Tyler. It’s an incorporated city, formed in 2001, whose boundaries are exactly the gated Hide-A-Way Lake Club community, and the property owners’ association has run it since 1969. Buying here means joining the Club: the gate, the golf and the lakes all come with the home.
The community’s own figures put it at more than 3,000 residents and 1,700 homes, about 13 miles northwest of Tyler with I-20 right at the front gate. Inside, three spring-fed lakes and 27 holes of golf are the centerpiece, along with tennis, pickleball, pools, parks and a full calendar of Club events.
Club membership comes with every home, so Leslie can walk you through the full monthly picture, dues included, before you make an offer.
