Lindale, TX Homes for Sale & Real Estate

Good country living, 15 miles north of Tyler, right where I-20 meets US 69.

Living in Lindale

Good country living, 20 minutes from Tyler

Lindale sits where I-20 meets US-69, about 16 miles north of Tyler. The 2020 Census counted 6,059 people, and the Census estimate for July 2025 was 7,385, which makes it one of the faster-growing towns in Smith County. Its motto is “Good Country Living,” and it’s still known as the Blackberry Capital of the World.

The location does a lot of work: US-69 runs straight to Tyler’s jobs and hospitals, and I-20 puts Longview, Canton and Dallas within easy reach.

One thing to know early: a Lindale mailing address covers far more than the city. Inside city limits you get city water, sewer and a city tax rate. Outside, homes run on rural water and septic with no city tax, so the same price can carry a different monthly payment depending on which side of the line a house sits. Leslie can check it for any home before you make an offer.
